Thoughts: For someone that has pink pretty far down a list of fave colors, I have an awful lot of pink bears. I think I have at least 20. So it's no small thing for me to say Rose Moon is my new favorite pink bear. (Like the majority of her fur is pink. Otherwise, my fave would be Kirsteen.) Harvest Moon and Blue Moon are happy that their third has finally arrived and she's gorgeous in person. I really love her shades and her expression. 

PIGGLEDY

Thoughts: Tiny little Piggledy finally came out so he can sit with big bro Higgledy. Choosing this tiny fellow was an easy choice. There was something about his little face that I fell in love with immediately. He fits right in the palm of my hand and I think he may well be my favorite CB of this size.

Thoughts: Gingerbread Cookie is a brown-themed version of Kirsteen, who was one of my surprise favorites from 2022. I've decided they're siblings. He's just as soft and cuddly as she is.

Thoughts: My first 2024 collection bear! I didn't preorder Star Jasmine because I wanted to see her "in the fur" first. I ended up liking her and I barely have any yellow bears, so I'm glad I picked her up. She's small and has unique fur. 

And she has a tail!

This is a pretty rare thing for Charlie Bears that are actually bears. They have no problem putting tails on their other animals, but you don't often see them on the bears themselves. This year, there are a few with tails. 

EMIL

Thoughts: I have waited years to find just the right Emil. He's a random plush, so no two will be alike. I saw one many years ago that had a lot of dark on his face and that's what I wanted. Unfortunately, I kept finding him with an almost entirely gray face. I looked him up on ebay on a whim and discovered this guy, who's perfectly what I wanted, so I had to get him home. He's one of the tall, skinny variety of bears, which makes him cuddly and huggable, but not too heavy and he doesn't take up much space. I'm so happy to finally meet him!

Thoughts: Not one even remotely on my radar, but when I saw a few pics of him, I saw how cute he was. I love the color. I don't have anyone else in this shade. I think Danuta and Jane might be the closest. I don't have that many gigglers and with the unusual color, I decided to go for it. His fur is SO lush! You can dig your fingers right into it. He's not overly huge either, so he's both cuddly and a good size for fitting onto my shelves. 

TERENCE

Thoughts: It took me a bit to find the perfect Terence for me, but I finally did! He was on my "will likely buy" list for this year. I like his blend of curly fur plus the super soft fur. I think Stef uses this same color. Sort of reminiscent of Stuart but a little more brown in the tipping. Terence is a pretty cuddly guy. With those big eyes and round ears, he's adorable. 

TREACLE TOFFEE

Thoughts: Treacle became my recent bear obsession after seeing some from Lovely Bears. I was planning on waiting until she hit the US, but then I decided why not now? I shopped around but missed out on another I liked. Then I checked ebay and found an Australian seller that had three to choose from. I've never seen one with this type of face so I ended up choosing her over the face I was actually expecting to pick. I'm absolutely in love with this bear. I can be picky about the long-haired ones, but she's perfect. I think her fur is the silkiest I've ever felt on a long pile CB. She's a little harder packed with stuffing, but she's quite cuddly anyway.  Definitely highly recommend. 

HUGH MONGOUS

Thoughts: I fell for this particular Hugh and then when the stockist had a sale, I could not resist bringing him home. Like most Bearhouse, he seems far larger than his listed height. His legs are quite long and he has a nice, thick dino tail. Definitely not a T-Rex though. I hate when they get animals mixed up. It happens oddly frequently. Kiri the cheetah was called a leopard. The ferrets were meerkats. Atlas the atlas bear looks more like a megatherium (giant ground sloth) than Tardy does. I'm not assigning any particular species to Hugh, but with three fingers, he's not a Tyrannosaur. He's super, super soft. Likely tyber. If this isn't the same fabric they used on Grumbleweed, it's something extremely close. He's quite cuddly, even though his teeth are a bit rough. 

MARDI GRAS

Thoughts: Third time's the charm! I knew when I saw Mardi Gras that I had to add him to my collection. However, this was one of the first times I've gotten a bear from CB Direct that I wasn't satisfied with. Normally, I have really good luck, but not this time. When he turned up on QVC, I ordered two more. I opened the first one and he wasn't much different from my original, but then I opened this guy pictured here and finally, here was the Mardi Gras I was expecting. I'm returning the other two to QVC. (It has way easier returns than CB Direct.) Nothing against my original guy. I was growing fonder of him and he is cute, but this one is what I wanted.
