Thoughts: Rummy is a bear I almost was going to cancel. There's something about his set of bears from this year's collection that doesn't translate as well into physical form. Like a lot of them look goofy. He's got crooked ears, which doesn't really bother me, but a lot of them have misshapen, wrinkled or badly cut eye whites. But I did end up liking this particular one and he's burgundy tyber, which I'm a bit of a sucker for. I didn't take a photo of it, but he's got a weirdly long neck. He needs that bow there just to look normal. He's cute and I don't regret getting him, but definitely be picky if you want a bear from his set. 

ATLAS

Thoughts: Atlas is from the prehistoric Bearhouse collection of 2023. He's enormous! I was definitely not expecting him to be as big as he is. He's got unusual fur, which I like. He's supposed to be an Atlas bear, but that basically looked like a regular brown bear. This Atlas to me looks like a megatherium, a type of extinct giant ground sloth. 

One thing that bears don't have are long, thick tails. Atlas has a huge tail. 

He's very cute with his smiling face and teeny tiny ears. I love him and I've always liked megatherium, so that's what he is to me. 

ASTRO

Thoughts: I have some bright CBs, including Neverland who was my most recent entry before this, but Astro outshines them all. She's an incredibly vibrant pink! She pairs with Sirius, who was a bright yet darker blue. They're both tyber so they're small but extremely cuddly. 

NEVERLAND

Thoughts: I loved bright Neverland when they first got her in the UK, so of course I had to order her when she came available here. Mine is a little bit off. Her eyes are wide, which I favor, and a teense crooked. Her nose is a little lopsided. But her colors are stunning, she's incredibly tyber soft, and I just love her. Sometimes the flawed ones are meant for you. 

 

GISBURN

Thoughts: I was obsessed with this guy right before the hurricane, but I couldn't afford him. I was certainly right to be obsessed. He's my favorite of my new arrivals. After Helene, I saw that he and Neverland were now on the CB Direct site and I learned that I could buy them using my Affirm card. Heh heh. Probably something I would have been better off not knowing! But work was kicking my butt and I earned a treat or two. Gisburn is super soft, though not tyber, and he's small but not too small. I swear he's plumo, though the site doesn't say and I'm too lazy to go look at his tag. He's wonderful though. 

DIBBINSDALE

Thoughts: I wanted just the right Dibbinsdale. In other words, the crankiest one I could find. Waiting paid off and this guy arrived home about a week ago. He's smaller than I expected (the high price comes from the tyber fur), but what a grouch. I love him. 

WATER DRAGON

Thoughts: Water Dragon was shipped right before hurricane Helene and was one of the first things to arrive when USPS started functioning again. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact day! I have to admit, I haven't bonded with him at all yet. It was a stressful time, but also, I would have preferred a darker blue dragon and I just don't like the color on his toes. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to bond with him, so he may only be here for a temporary stay.
