He took ages getting here, but he arrived today with a nice hole in the side of the box. Ugh. I love this bear's coloring. The rust and white and all the browns. He's a standing bear, which I don't normally like as well as the others, but he makes it work. His body is super soft and cuddly, too. He's a squishy one! I'm so glad he's home at last.

But the blue nose is what makes him extra cute. Without it, I don't know if I would have adopted him.

Thoughts: I have been interested in this bear for well over a year! She was on my low-key wishlist from BAMS that contained bears I'd pick up if I had the spare money. But her full price tag was a little high for an unplanned bear expense. It's oddly expensive for a Heather Lyell bear. Hers are usually the far cheaper ones. Like Roman and Eleanor are the same height as Artemis, but cost $97.95 and they're from this year's collection. Anyway, I've seen Artemis on ebay a few times, but none have been as cute as this particular one. So this year, Valerie decided to do an amazing Black Friday sale and there were different markdowns for each bear. The oldest ones were half off! I saw my opportunity to finally bring Artemis home and here she is. She's the largest Heather Lyell bear I own that's not one of the skinny "Magical Snugglies" ones like Roman, Eleanor, Mystery and Scrummy. She's also unusual in that she has brown eyes. Most Lyells just have the simple black eyes. I love her colors and she's nice and cuddly. Susan has claimed her for the curmudgeon shelf and she fits there perfectly.

His purples are so rich and lovely, and his darker fur is lush and soft. I wish they'd make one like Rum Baba in this color with that fur all over. I adore purple and gray together, too. He also has little spikes airbrushed on his muzzle, which are really unique. I can't wait to pick out Flynn and get Geronimo home, too, so the trio can be together again, but Errol looks cute on his shelf below Hakatan, Jan and Mollycoddle, who are all a similar style of bear.

I asked about her price and it was really fair, so Mom bought her for me for an early Christmas gift. She arrived today and she's lovely. She is extremely wobble-jointed which is not my favorite thing in a bear, but I wound a length of white ribbon around her neck to support her head. I don't mind as much if the limbs are wobbly, but I hate overly wobbly heads, so a lot of my wobbly bears have extra ribbons securing their necks.

I'm planning on cutting back next year and the chances they'll do another two mohairs I'll really want, like I did with Sparks and Snapdragon, is slim. But look at all her colors and details! She's so stunning. And she's actually really cuddly, too, which none of my other mohairs are. I absolutely love her.

Anke here just appeared on CB Direct US, so I scooped her up. Her rich honey color didn't appeal to me immediately in the Sneaky Peeks catalog, but I liked it in owner pics, so I've been waiting for her to come to the US. She's absolutely lovely in person. When he appeared on QVC's website, I ordered one, so I wouldn't miss out if I liked him during the show. They zoomed in on a pair of them sitting on the shelf before his presentation and I was very glad I'd ordered. I think he sold out faster than any other bear I've seen on the shows! The host described him as "beefy," which amused me, but it's pretty true. He's a chonky, furry guy. I love all the colors in his long fur. He reminds me a little of Kuma. Not face-wise, of course, but something about his fur. He's not exactly my type of bear, but he's seriously gorgeous and I love him.

My other pre-orders are in this huge layaway, because there are sooooo many that came in at once! Eleanor is a tall, skinny bear, like Heather Lyell's Magical Snugglies line. I'm not sure if she's officially part of that, but she's just like them. They're not stuffed as firmly or as thickly, so they're quite thin, but still nice and huggable. Well, some of them are. Some are less so. But Eleanor reminds me of Scrummy, who's skinny, but still stuffed enough to be a good hug. And I love her wild dusty pink hair!

Thoughts: I got an AMAZING deal on this bear! Evermore goes along with Together, who I bought in January 2018. I wanted Together more, but intended to get Evermore, too. Then he disappeared from the CB Direct UK site. I've seen him on ebay a couple times, but not many. Then recently, he appeared on one of the Facebook pages with a charity shop asking the names of two bears. Then I saw that auction on ebay! It initially was a Buy It Now, but didn't sell twice, so they made it a regular auction and started it really low. I still can't believe I got the pair for about $59 with $22 shipping. Evermore is black with a very dark blue on his face, the insides of his ears and the tips of his paws. Like his brother, his black fur is tipped, although his dark blue is harder to see than Together's neon red. He's much chunkier than Together, who's tall and skinny, and I think he's going to be an excellent cuddler.

Thoughts: ZigZag is a rather confusing little creature. I was quite shocked when I learned he's supposed to be an aardvark. The ears and snout are far too short and the head needs to be much more tapered. But that aside, he is pretty cute. From the neck down, the body is excellent. I didn't pre-order him, because I wasn't into the design, but when he turned up on QVC a few days ago, I decided to give him an audition. QVC is perfect for trying out a new character without the commitment of having to buy them outright and not be able to return them. That's exactly what I needed with ZigZag. So I pulled him out of his box and I love how he feels. He's not powder soft, but his fur is nice pile and I always love a good tub. A lot of the Bearhouse characters have a tub. He won me over and he's sticking around. But he still doesn't really look like an aardvark!

Thoughts: Shelby is one I thought was cute from the regular collection, but it wasn't until she hit QVC that I considered giving her a chance. I was so iffy on her that I wanted a way to return her if I wasn't bonding. I got her on 6 Easy Pays so perfect opportunity! She is really cute in person and I like her colors. She's sitting happily with Elizabeth and Tatum.

Thoughts: Kenya's been on QVC.com for a little while now and I finally got around to ordering him after returning a couple extras from the past show. This is one gorgeous giraffe! He's quite large and I think he actually has a cuter face than other Charlie Bears giraffes. Except Gilbert, but Gilbert's more stylized, less realistic.

Thoughts: I wasn't sold on Sienna until they put her on the show and my mom went "Are you sure you don't want her?" So off I went to QVC.com, but I had just missed her. I had her in my cart, but when I got a couple steps into checkout, she was suddenly gone. I put myself on the wishlist for her and I swear, I had to be first in line or close to it, because within a day, she went from "waitlist" to "in process." Then came the crossing of fingers, because I knew she was a one-shot deal. If I didn't get a cute one, I'd either have to keep an uncute bear or return her and never have a Sienna in my hug. Thankfully, I opened up this tiny grumpass and I love her. I thought she was similar in size to Cara and Candice, but she's quite a bit smaller. She's not quite as cute as they are, but she's still adorable. No regrets adding her to my purchases.

Thoughts: Ulrika was a whim purchase. She's a similar model to Karl, who I love, and I adore her name, though I prefer the spelling Ulrike, as it's a very German name. I prefer that pronunciation, too. They kinda mangled it on the QVC presentation, although perhaps that's correct in another country. But it is a Germanic name, so I go with the German. I opened her first today and she's just lovely. Absolutely perfect. She sits wonderfully on the gray bear shelf with Kerri, Shani, Bindi, Winter, Layla and Higgle. Karl is on the shelf right below her on the opposite corner.

WAFFLE

Thoughts: Aside from Lollipop, Cherry Pie and Lena, Waffle was the bear I was most interested in. I hoped for one with a cute face, because I only bought one. I think this guy has a great face, but I'm not 100% on his muzzle markings. He's got light patches, which he's supposed to, but they make a stripe right down his mouth. He's been sitting here with me while I did a bunch of doll deboxing, photo uploading and now reviewing, so he's grown on me a lot. I considered buying another and seeing which I preferred, but now I'm thinking I'll just keep this guy. He's a lot bigger than I expected! I get 15" bears sometimes and they seem tiny, but he's got a lot of heft. Very solid and chunky. I love his warm browns, too.

Thoughts: Ah, Lena! I liked her from the Sneaky Peeks catalog, but paid zero attention to her size. She is tiny! At 10", she's around the same size as little Diddums. She's a pale bluish-gray and lavender and her fur is really soft. I took a chance and only ordered one, but she's perfect, so no need to worry! I only hope my other single orders from QVC turn out as cute.

Thoughts: My three Lollipops are here! I bought multiples to choose a face and to help a friend get one. So this was the one I chose. She's #716, which is funny, because that was my old area code when I lived near Buffalo. Also, when I opened her box, there was part of a candy wrapper in it. Ha! Lollipop is the one everyone went crazy over, although honestly, I prefer Cherry Pie. She's definitely unique though with her soft pinks and blues. Have I mentioned how I love this paw style with the colors? I do. A lot. Now I need to decide if I'm going to display them together or separately!

Thoughts: I love this bear. Cherry Pie and Lollipop were on the cover of the Sneaky Peeks catalog we got with our 2019 Best Friends Club membership and everyone went nuts over Lollipop, but I was more excited for Cherry. And here in the US, we got to pop the Cherry, because we got him before any other country! I ordered him and Lollipop together, but my Lollipops have only just shipped today. I have Lena coming, too, and will probably order more. The show is tomorrow morning! I adore red bears and the red and brown pairing is nice. The brown fur actually has bright pink tipping, giving an extra little pop of color. He's soft and cuddly, too.

Thoughts: I've been following this bear artist on Facebook for a few months now, so I see her creations from the initial fur pieces to the final. I was intrigued by this color combination and then loved the final piece, so I ended up adopting him. He arrived from the UK today and he's amazing! He's 16" and really very heavy. He feels more sturdily-jointed than my CBs. Not that they're bad by any means, but his joints hold positions more easily. I love the fur colors in person and his fur is quite soft. The flocked nose is a nice touch and his eyes are glittery blue! I wish I could afford to buy bears like this all the time, but he was a splurge and now I need to get caught back up on CBs!
