Thoughts: I. Love. This. Bear. Errol was one of my big wants from this year's catalog and even moreso once I saw owner pictures. His purples are so rich and lovely, and his darker fur is lush and soft. I wish they'd make one like Rum Baba in this color with that fur all over. I adore purple and gray together, too. He also has little spikes airbrushed on his muzzle, which are really unique. I can't wait to pick out Flynn and get Geronimo home, too, so the trio can be together again, but Errol looks cute on his shelf below Hakatan, Jan and Mollycoddle, who are all a similar style of bear.

Thoughts: I got a great deal on Leonie from my friend Kitty, who I've gotten a lot of my bears from. Leonie jumped to my attention when an Australian seller had her and it was pure coincidence that she turned up in a batch of bears Kitty posted on Facebook. I asked about her price and it was really fair, so Mom bought her for me for an early Christmas gift. She arrived today and she's lovely. She is extremely wobble-jointed which is not my favorite thing in a bear, but I wound a length of white ribbon around her neck to support her head. I don't mind as much if the limbs are wobbly, but I hate overly wobbly heads, so a lot of my wobbly bears have extra ribbons securing their necks.

Thoughts: Oh, my beary gods! Snapdragon is easily the most impressive piece I've ever seen from Charlie Bears. I wasn't happy when I first saw her, because I knew I needed her and she was just so much money. At $413, she's the most expensive single piece in my bear collection, and will likely remain that way. I'm planning on cutting back next year and the chances they'll do another two mohairs I'll really want, like I did with Sparks and Snapdragon, is slim. But look at all her colors and details! She's so stunning. And she's actually really cuddly, too, which none of my other mohairs are. I absolutely love her.

Thoughts: Dan and Jill are part of this year's regular collection. Anke is Secret Collection. All three are different versions of the same bear. All Plumo, all 17", all limited to 3000 pieces. All of them have white in the same places with their only difference being the secondary color. Dan is blue, Jill is pink. I have chosen my two and they're currently on layaway. Anke here just appeared on CB Direct US, so I scooped her up. Her rich honey color didn't appeal to me immediately in the Sneaky Peeks catalog, but I liked it in owner pics, so I've been waiting for her to come to the US. She's absolutely lovely in person. So soft and cuddly! She's lighter than she looks, especially for a 17" bear. I'm not sure if the trio will be seated together or separately, but for now, she's got a spot with Simone and Michelle.

Thoughts: Roman was my big want of 2019's pre-orders. I adore him. There's just something about this big blue floof that I adore. He's sweeter in person. His dark blue face doesn't photograph super well. And he has the same awesome fur texture as Eleanor, so I know he'll be just as cuddly as she is.

Thoughts: Fairycake was on my pre-order list, but she wasn't one I was fully convinced of. But she's cheap as far as CBs go and she's going to sit well with Angelcake, the bigger fluffier purple bear. I really like her now that she's here and I've gotten to hold her. She's quite a squishy, soft little bear, which means she'll be good for cuddles.

Thoughts: Bamse was not originally on my pre-order list. He was just off it. I really thought it over and thought I had too much. I ended up adding him when I saw the first owner pics from the UK and just fell for him. By then, I was also getting Michelle, who's basically Bamse but in shades of brown. My only disappointment is that because I didn't pre-order him right away, I was down farther on the list and missed out on the one I really fell for. But this guy called me, too, and he's a doll. Like Michelle, he's very soft and cuddly. I'm also a big fan of green, so I'm happy to have another green addition.
